Hey, did you know I have a book coming out in 11 days? And a launch party happening in 10? You probably did, because you’re on my blog, and I’m not terribly shy. What I am is kind of crazy busy and so sort of a lousy blogger right now…or so it seems. In actuality, I am everywhere all over the Internet right now. And even leaving the house sometimes and doing stuff. So, whether you’re wondering where I’ve been with non-list-y content, or want stuff to tide you over while I become even worse at this for the rest of the month, here’s what’s (been) up:
I was at BEA, which was awesome, and exhausting, and productive, and alcohol-filled and pretty all-around glorious. I got to meet a bajillion amazing people, sign some ARCs and bookmarks, get other stuff signed, and basically just drown in a weeklong haze of bookishness. I’ll spare you my BEA roundup because a billion people have already done much better ones, but there are a bunch of fun pics on my Instagram!
If you’re curious for a few more details, I shared them with The Writer Diaries as part of their Pre-Pub Adventures series! http://t.co/44PUoUVbOK
I’ve been blogging a bunch for Barnes & Noble, including this post, “Against Being Against YA” (2nd half of the article): http://www.barnesandnoble.com/blog/should-you-be-embarrassed-to-read-ya-the-best-debate-on-the-internet/
Also for Barnes & Noble: The 5 Best Dads in YA
I won a YA Highway “YA Web Award” for the YA Author category of Twitter, which was basically the highlight of my week and finally justifies the millions of hours I spend with my blue feathered friend.

You can also enter to win a copy of Behind the Scenes – or any other April, May, or June debut! – on OneFourKidLit: https://onefourkidlit.wordpress.com/2014/06/01/aprilmayjune-debuts-giveaway/

And I was interviewed by the awesome Mindy McGinnis, for her blog series Bloggers of Awesome, talking about whether blogging is dead, the differences between personal blogging and group blogging, and more: http://writerwriterpantsonfire.blogspot.com/2014/06/a-boa-with-daily-dahlia.html
Finally, the super lovely Rebecca of Reading Wishes is hosting a Twitter party for Behind the Scenes, on hashtag #BtSParty, and there’ll be Q&As and giveaways and it will be fabulous, so I hope you can join us! http://t.co/M6vLpt9f9a
